Online Community
If early retirement appeals to you and you're looking for moral support to help make it a reality, or if you're already there and are looking for others in your situation, there are several online communities with people just like you. Much of the discussion on these sites revolves around finance and investing since this is such a critical topic, but there are also lighter discussions on a range of early retirement topics.
My favorite is www.early-retirement.org. The board has lots of members, and excellent discussion.
Another good one is hosted by a guy who goes by Raddr. His site hosts several discussion boards, including one devoted entirely to early retirement:

One of the best known message boards out there is diehards.com. The name refers to Vanguard diehards, and while not focused on early retirement, the topic comes up frequently. One great thing about this site is the quality of the discussion. Many of the frequent participants are published authors and financial planners:
